Judge Grants Amanda Bynes Doctor's Temporary Conservatorship

A Ventura County judge has granted the doctor's of Amanda Bynes a an extended temporary 30 day conservatorship of the emotionally unstable actress. A conservatorship is granted when a person is deemed unable to take care of him/herself or his/her finances. Ms. Bynes parents are in the process of requesting full conservatorhip over their daughter and will  continue to pursue a court order during this 30 days.

The judge was informed that Amanda was too emotionally unstable to make the trip to the hearing in Ventura where he was to  decide whether or not to grant Amanda's parents a conservatorship. To come to his decision, the judge actually traveled from Ventura to the Thousand Oaks hospital where Amanda was admitted with a temporary psychiatric hold, to interview her.

In order to grant a conservatorship a person must be "gravely unabled". It seems that the judge did find that Amanda is extremely unstable but wants to take precautions before handing over legal control to her parents. The judge said that because Amanda is already under a 14 day hold, there was no need for an emergency decision.

Amanda was admitted after she was arrested for allegedly starting fire to the drive way of a residential home in Thousand Oaks.

I can't help but feel really sad for Amanda Bynes. She is such a beautiful girl, and seemingly had the world in her hands. It is disturbing how public opinion of a celebrity can really get into that celebrities head and change who they know themselves to be. I continue to give my support and well wishes to Amanda and cannot wait until the day I can blog about her living the life she was meant to live. Good luck Amanda! We are pulling for you!
